Union of Catholic Mothers
The union of Catholic mothers (UCM) is the gathering of Catholic women to provide fellowship, friendship and a variety of social and spiritual activities. The UCM meetings, information and links provide constant fresh interests. We come together to create opportunities for different and important Catholic action. Together and in partnership with other members, we strive to influence public affairs that affect marriage and family life.
United in prayer, members never face life's difficulties alone but are strengthened by the support of fellow members. The UCM was founded in 1913 in Devon by Mrs. Joseph Chichester to unite Catholic married women. Today membership is open to all Catholic women, married or single, and may be extended to other Christian women because we stand for compassion, companionship and unity. The UCM operates both at parish, diocesan and national level but we are all united by our common aims and objectives.
The UCM members of the Annunciation and St Augustine’s Catholic Church meets every month after the 10.30am mass in the parish room. For more information, please contact Gloria Ezeonyeasi through the following email address: [email protected]
